Orienteering-Pécs Foundation and Orienteering Club Varaždin commit themselves to the successful continuation of the “Cross-border cooperation in Orienteering” project to popularize orienteering on both sides of the border area.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES of the project are:
-The project aims at activating young people to support healthy life styles through sport activities, to develop cultural awareness and tolerance towards different cultures and enable them to discover their identities and roles as young individuals in European Context.
-The popularisation of foot orienteering on both sides of the border area.
The main SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES of the project are
- Developing materials available for the Partners to better communicate about orienteering. To attract and activate children and young people to practice orienteering. To strengthen the image of orienteering as a green sport with full of challenge and adventure.
- Ensure basic infrastructure for organization of orienteering events. To give better access to orienteering sport in the cross-border area.
- To help the partnership in organizing high quality orienteering events respecting the principles of environmental protection. Raising the awareness regarding the importance of separate collection and recycling of waste and the protection of natural values.
- To further broaden the basis for long-term and sustainable partnership between Croatian and Hungarian Orienteering Organizations in the border area.
The Beneficiaries will jointly implement the following ACTIVITIES:
-Project administration and management
-Information and publicity
-Preparation of orienteering maps
-Elaboration and presentation of orienteering games
-Joint orienteering events
The expected OUTPUTS of the project are the followings:
-Project opening and closing event
-1 professional workshop
-Equipment for organization of orienteering events purchased by the partners
-10-10 set of orienteering games
-Orienteering maps of 2 areas
-2 joint competitions organized
-1 youth training camp organized
-Successful promotion activity
